                                                                                        ABOUT THE AUTHER
COMMUNICATION THROUGH SPEECH is an important part of my life that caused me to peruse and work in the field of Radio Broadcasting. I wanted to refine my speaking abilities after being encouraged by many to continue my journey, and help others along the way.

I have produced two books over the past three years, with one being revised , to help those who would like to enter the field of broadcasting as a performer. "Speaking For A Living", is directed to those who wish to improve their speech for daily individual communication, or for those who wish to address small/large group settings. The second book "Speaking and Announcing Skills" is a primer for those new to, or entering into the field of Radio and TV broadcasting.

I have been in the broadcasting field for over 47 years, with 12 of those years spent On-Air entertaining. I have taught for Columbia School of Broadcasting for 26 years, spending my last two years as Dean of Students in the Washington, DC area. I taught three classes in the Radio Arts for two semesters at Columbia College in Chicago, IL. I also taught part-time for four years, Radio Announcing for The Omega School of Chicago. I supervised and planned student broadcast day each week while at Omega. I also was an active student recruiter for two years with The Columbia School of Broadcasting.

Many times, it’s the most ordinary products that make the biggest impact on our daily lives. At COMMUNICATION THROUGH SPEECH, I believe that by offering the best of my experience and knowledge in my books, I can make a big difference in the lives of those who want to become the best they can be at speaking well..

This work covers over 46 years as a radio broadcaster, On-Air Personality, Instructor, tutor, program designer, and student advisor.
